We love these. They may not be the most durable thing ever, but so far we've had no problems. They weigh well under an ounce and pack down smaller than my thumb. And they are CHEAP. There is a deal out there on amazon I think for less than $2 a piece if you buy several (I think it's an 8 pack for $15 IIRC. They aren't obnoxiously bright, they last a long time, and provide a nice warm glow to lead you back to your hammock if you need to leave the area for constitutionals.

These stay on my RL. Carry a spare battery. Plenty of light at night.

How well do these hold position when you swivel them?

One of the best deals on a solar light to be found, these solar lanterns will stay on at the low setting for atleast 8 - 9 hours, i fell asleep around 10 pm and forgot to shut off the lantern that i had hanging in a tree, when i awoke around 7,30 the next morning it was still on.
I have purchased a few of the 3 packs and the only problem i have had was that i ended up giving them out to family and friens to have for bad weather emergancys.
    Just picked up 3 more..

Luci light in action. First time using it and it's impressive.

They are on sale on amazon right now (http://amzn.to/20GFCRO), but with how well it seems others seem to like the Luci Lights I wonder if the luminoodle is really just a waste? Not only are you carrying the light itself, but you also need to carry a power source/battery for it. I think this is why I haven't used mine at all yet. The next time I am out where I carry a battery I will give it a try.
With the luminoodle, just leave it in the bag and toss in a usb battery pack as well. It makes a good lantern and the battery is kept out of the way.

They look considerably bigger than any other light most would use in a hammock. Doesn’t it get in the way?
