I know its been addressed, but I can't seem to find it. Can any of you shed a light on what is the best material to make a snake skin? Size? Thanks abunch!

I used the snakeskin kit from Dutchware. Already cut. I did about a 3/4+ inch seam down the length, a channel for cord/cord lock at each end. Easy and quick. It easily fits my 12 foot silpoly PU4000 DIY tarp with ridge line. I roll it up to store it.

There is nothing wrong to buy it from Dutch. The much better solution, however, is imo, to make them from fabric remnants.
NoSeeUm Tarp Skins With Guy Line Storage
I used scraps from my tarp project (RSBTR 1.0 SilNylon) and the dimensions from this link, http://gear-report.com/how-to-make-d...k-or-tarp-myog. I am happy with it and plan to make some out of bug net material also.
Guess I need to add what I'm using it for:
1) Eno Single-nest and Eno Double-nest hammocks
2) Eno Pro Rainfly
And, thanks abunch for the info!
$1.00 from the Dollar Store.
Get a mesh shower scrub thingy, cut the tie and stretch it to desired length. There are threads on it here.
I tried the $ store method and it didn't work for me. Too easy to tear.
What I did was use strips of no see um left over from making a fronky style bug net. I just sewed them straight in a single tube not tapered.
If I didn't have the leftover scraps I would have bought the Dutch kit.

+1 on Dutch's kit. Made straight tube skins for two 11' tarps with a large pocket on each end to tuck the excess ridgeline into. Couldn't have been easier!
