Hi all my name is Pete. Born and raised in the blue line,I'm an avid mountain climber and overall backcountry junkie. I discovered hammock camping by accident, or should I say I got tired of sleeping on the muddy ground. I've been doing the hammock thing for about 6 months now. I have to say its a steep learning curve but it's very rewarding. I just want to thank the members for all the great info, and thanks Shug for all the great videos. It made it a joy to learn to hammock. I still have lots to learn so any advice welcome. Just finished up the Cranberry 50 last month as my first hammock trip. Have to say it was a blast. Temps from 19 to 70 F and Sun and lots of snow the last night. I'm also working on the NE 111 so it should be a blast in a hammock. It's a pleasure to join this group, and hope to see you out hanging around.
