Which Fabric do the Gurus recommend.

I'm looking to carry a tarp in my hunting pack that I can hide under in the rain, turn into a hammock for a lunch time nap, and throw meat on top of when I'm boning something out. Light, water resistant, and easy to clean blood off when I get home. Any recommendations of what material to use?

That doesn't sound particularly hygienic or even remotely practical: it's a hammock, it's a tarp, and I can also use it to hold slaughtered meat? Please.

A polycryo sheet will serve as trap/groundsheet/butchery, then get a small pocket hammock in Hexon 1.0 or ripstopbytheroll's 1oz poly (he's got some cheap end of roll stuff on offer). Less than 1/2lb for the pair, and more hygienic.

    Try a separate hammock-ultra lightweight,or a hammock seat.

I'd go with a cheap fishnet hammock for the chair /napping bed and a good chunk of the vapour barrier in a thickness that meets your needs for keeping your meat clean or an emergency rain cape or fly.

I use to just use a 8'X6' cheap poly tarp rolled up on top of my day ruck.

I'm going to start carrying a fishnet hammock for a chair/napping bed from now on. Thanks for the idea T!!

were you seriously thinking about napping in something that you've cut up dead animals on?
