I've tried a NeoAir XL in home-made hammocks similar to the 90Degree and found significant compression of the pad from head to foot due to the cross-ways orientation of the tubes. It was so significant that it was too short. I'm 6'-0". I'd like to try a Gamma, but would also have to invest in another (heavier) pad.
I'm 6 as well. I didn't notice any compression in the length compared to no pad at all. I'd go for it. I may order a few more for the wife and kids.

Have you guys tried the Warbonnet Ridgerunner hammock? No air mattress required, light, simple, and comfortable. This hammock is so much easier to setup than the Amoks.

I own a ridgerunner and while I find it comfortable with a pad it's nowhere near as comfy as my Luke 90. As far as setup goes all you really need to make sure of is that's it's level. Plus it's lighter.

Thanks for the picture. That is an awesome setup!

I was reading on the hammocktent website that they have an available pole for setting it up by a single overhead anchor. However, I did not see this product anywhere on their website. Has anyone seen the Gamma setup on a single point?

The midnight sun and gamma ul with single tree setup. Not a bad combination.

Anyone use the gamma ul with a 3/4 length pad? What was your experience?

I haven't tried a 3/4 pad but I'm sure it would work fine although your legs dangling off the end might be a little uncomfortable.

I was wondering about it because I saw some pictures on Luke's hammocktent Facebook page. There was a gear list provided that included a 3/4 thermarest xlite. I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with 3/4 regular width. It interested me because it would be less weight and would allow for the user to more easily get into the hammock. I wanted to hear some real world feedback. Thanks!
