    Jones Spring Area 5/14

Going to be out in Jones Springs Area 5/14 testing out my new to me UQ if anyone is in the area looking for something to do. Talking possible frost Sunday morning !!! Another words should be relatively bug free. Impulsive decision to go but just putting it out there to anyone interested.

Enjoy, love the Jones Springs area. Awesome trails. If I didn't have company coming up I'd make the drive and join you.

Went great, cold and windy but 100% bug free. UQ was a huge success !! Had something come into my campsite that I can't quite put my finger on. Was a little after 9pm and I was almost sleeping when I thought I heard something close by. I perked up and listened closely and realized something was definetly in my site but not sure what. Then I heard 2 quick flaps of wings then nothing, I think maybe it went up on the picnic table but who knows. Like a minute later 2-3 short flaps and when it hit the ground the noise it made caused another 1 to startle on the other side of my tarp. That's when I decided I had enough and clapped my hands and said "Get outta here" That made them both fly away but I am not really sure what the heck they were. Would be strange for owls to be down on the ground but who knows. Was up wide awake thinking that one out for awhile. Maybe it was "Moth Man". I was camped at Fanny Lake that night.
