Mount Greylock is about an 1hr 20 drive roughly. Not saying you shouldn't but making the time frame known.

I really want to go but it's going to be raining all weekend, which isn't very enticing... Though I probably won't melt... I'm totally down to do any and all hiking though!

I'll have a smaller tarp set in my truck that can cover the kitchen area if needed. I won't get in till Friday night though. If someone has an EZup those are always welcome.

Your dad hasn't taught you the wonders of camping in the rain? How else are you supposed to test your tarp?
