Thanks for the prayers! I feel great, particularly since it was Carolinabackpacker that fell.

I know that he is doing better. I'll join in prayers that he heals. The pictures are intense.

Here's hoping Jeremy (Carolinabackpacker) a speedy recovery.
Dutch I moved this post to the general discussion forum. I believe more of Jeremy's friends will see it here.
If you'd like me to edit the title I can do that.

So glad whomever it was survived that fall. Wow. Good for him and here's wishing him a speedy recovery.

Well, CB posted to the Gorge Rat forum this morning, so he is definitely doing better. He sounds in good spirits.

Sure would be nice to change the title to reflect that carolinasbackpacker is recuperating nicely.

Fire in my Bones had a bad fall in the Gorge.

I witnessed his fall and CB is very very lucky to be alive. Hickery, KennyRay, Navigator and Rick and myself traversed down to give aid and support. He was beat up and bleeding but alive. Mild concussion and some shock of course. His knee is dislocated with ace tear. Couple of fractures. He was coherent and is one tough feller. Though in pain and uncomfortable he showed tremendous spirit laying on the side of the Gorge for almost 6 hours waiting for the Blackhawk to lift him out.
I watched him log roll over the cliff and it was like a slow motion dream. He slipped climbing up a dangerous wall we were scaling and the momentum took him down.
We spoke about it as he layed there and are convinced that the Spirit of Running Feather stopped his fall. I still don't see what stopped him. It was a very steep spot.
    Whoooooooo Buddy Jeremy.
