Noob Question About Setting Up My New Dutchware Hammock

I just got my new hammock in the mail and it looks and feels great, but it doesn't have a place for me to attach my carabiners (that attach to my huggers). As the only hammocks I've ever used either didn't require them to be hung or already came with attachments I'm not one-hundred percent sure what to do.

Should I just get some good rope and tie my own knots just below the gathered ends? Or is there another, easier way that will make me look like a moron for asking this question?

Order 2 continuous loops from Dutch and gather the ends with them with a larkshead

Sounds like you ordered a Dutch hammock without a suspension. You can larks head a continuous loop to the sewn channel or perhaps some whoopie slings.

Thanks, man. I don't mind ordering from Dutch's site for the cont loops, but would paracord be an acceptable step-in for amsteel?

Skip the paracord - no place in a hammock setup. I'm partial to the Dutch Whoopie Hook suspension. Get yourself a couple of continuous loops and a Whoopie Hook suspension.

Paracord will stretch especially when wet.

Yeah I figured paracord wouldn't be much use--it doesn't seem to actually have a purpose, it just exists.

I've hung a hammock with 550 cord as my suspension. I've also made a hammock out of a poncho liner and 550 cord. It does stretch and it's not the best but it can keep you off the ground for a night.
