    True. However, I would estimate that the vast majority of those purchasing this product would be buying as an alternative to their eno straps. Ie: they're using carabiners for sure.

    I bought in to it.
    I have 9 ft straps and there have been times that it would not fit around the tree I wanted to use. More often, I wrap it 6-8 times around a sapling to use up the strap. I've also been looking for something that was easy for a first timer to set up.
    I loaned out a Blackbird with Whoopies and even demonstrated set up. At the moment of truth, they couldn't figure it out and TIED KNOTS in it.
    I'll let you know how they do.

    This is so true. I think carabiners and straps are a great way for beginners to learn to use a hammock. These straps make it very easy.

    Will I, as a self-admitted suspension snob, use them? Probably not. But I bought a pair anyway. I'll let my kids use them and have them as loaners for first timers.
