Hi from Finland

Greetings for everyone from Finland.

I'm Finnish lady from south Finland. My life long dream has been to start hiking but there has been always something else going on that has pushed it on background. Finally on last summer I decided that I need to start make it happen specially with my new dream that I got few years ago with getting to hike the PCT at some point. Since I'm not twenty anymore the research I have done during the years pointed me towards hammocks as shelter and I got my hennessy on last fall. It got out once on last fall during one weekend trip, when I also found out that I really don't like pads inside hammock so now my next project is to get UQ and TQ done, since they do not sell those much in here and ordering them from States would kill my budget. I have been lurking around in here at least couple years already with trying to figure out what hammock I would want...though I ended up getting my second choice simply because they sold those in here locally. Have been learning a lot from here and from the people who do share their knowledge in you tube also. Thank you for doing that! So this year's goal is to get the hammock out a lot more and get the quilts done so that it can be more enjoyable.

Hello and welcome from the Netherlands. For an uq and tq you can always take a look at UKhammocks which is .... in the UK :-). No taxes on top of the price for the quilts here in my country and the shipping was only about 10 Euro's.

My wife was born in Lappeenranta. We have relatives all over Finland in Espoo, Helsinki, Savonlinna, and other towns further north. We still have a shared family farm near Lemi. I've only been there twice in the past 20 years, but it's a beautiful place. Welcome to the hammock world.
