Don't forget the JRB Bear Mountain Bridge hammock. And you might want to take a closer look at the Hammock Bliss Sky Bed (also with bug net). There are a couple of reviews on the Ultimate Hang. And there's also the Eureka Chrysalis bridge hammock, which is available in Canada. It's not the lightest hammock, but if you skip the "Camper Sleeve" and tweak the suspension, it's not too bad.

    Try it for yourself--gathered end
12X6 hammock in a firm less stretchy fabric like Hexon wide 1.6 or more. You can stretch out or roll over on your side or fetal and you can sleep diagonal and not diagonal with feet spread into both end pockets-- like you are riding a horse or sitting in a recliner laid out flat.
I like my 12X6 and the main drawback is need? for a longer bug net, tarp and underquilt suspension cords. What an adventure!!

My back and hips hurt when I sleep in a flat bed. I am a side sleeper and my Hennessey Asym is very comfy and I can bounce out of bed without pain.

those " netless" hammocks look very simple to build- and look like they keep you super flat- i like the look of the sleeping position, and the openess of them.
how does the underquilt attach, and the tarp too- looks like it would have to go the other way- so does that mean a pole kit now for the tarp..
whereas with the other hammocks the tarp would run with the hammock- and use the same trees for attachment.
    or am i wrong here

Underquilt attaches to the Hammocks suspension and the tarp is hung on its own cordage overhead. With or without netting, it is all the same for a gathered end hammock.
But I will say for the lack of bugs in the Valley a net is only needed for maybe 3 months so using a separate bug net when needed works very well....what I am using currently but have yet to use the bug net this yr. Google Fronkey bug net or ooogle Warbonet's website and the bug net for the Traveler Hammock
