Do you use permethrin?

I was loaded up this past trip. But I don't think there was a single bug out in the area! For 70° and sunny one day, I surely would have expected them by now. No complaining!

And I finally figured out what permethrin smells like...a combination of stink bugs and paper from an old library book. But in a good way. A "fresh" smell.

Where can i get Permethrin in Canada? I've googled and looked for it, but cannot seem to find any livestock supply that have it.

The simple calculation for a 10% starting solution is to take the amount you want, multiply by the 10X concentration you want to end up with. 10 * 0.5% = .05

i.e. 1 gallon of 0.5% concentrate: 128oz * .05 = need 6.4 oz of concentrate.

The other way around it if I want to use 3 fld oz. how much total mixture will result. Take amount of concentrate and divide by .05. thus 3 oz. will give you 60 oz. of 0.5% concentrate.

To get a .7% concentrate multiply by .07 etc.

Just did all.my clothes and bug net today
Mixed up 2 gallons and have a little under a gallon left
Which I will put into a sprayer and do.my hammock, backpack, shoes, chairs and car tomorrow

The equation for Cell D7 should be: Total Volume * concentration desired / Starting Concentration. or for the spread sheet. D4= C7 * B7 / A7

again for a simplified version for the standard 10% concentrate. Take the final volume you want and divide by 20 (or multiply by .05 = same thing) This is how much of the concentrated solution you need then just add enough water to the make the volume desired.

For .5% solution from 10% concentrate:
i.e. 1 liter needs 50 ml of concentrate
1 gallon needs ~6.5 oz. of concentrate.
etc. no need for spread sheets.

I convert it to ml then back to ounces so people dont have to do math themselves
