Do many people order Dobby 1.9 ?

I just don't read much about people picking Dobby fabric. I know it's a little heavier but what about the ability of the Dobby too be wind resistant ? I would think people that ordered double layer hammocks that want to insert a pad for insulation would also want a little help blocking the wind. Thus the Dobby fabric. Am I thinking about this right?

Don't look to any hammock fabric for wind resistance, even double layer. The pad will provide some wind blocking, however.

I'm sure plenty of people order Dobby 1.9, though I doubt they're ordering double layer unless they're big fellas.

Yea, when I was reading about the Dobby it mentioned the wind resistance properties, which made me question why you wouldn't use it for a bottom layer. I'm with you though. I guess some are just more resistant than others but in general none would block any wind.

The dobby is loud and hurts my head. It looks neat as all get out but looking at that pattern for any length of time makes me feel like I am going to have an aneurysm.

Dobby 1.9 induced aneurysm - you could be the first to be diagnosed!

Dobby is pretty popular for those who see it in person. It is hard to appreciate and the embossed 90 from pictures. Also it is incredible comfortable although it is a little heavy for my tastes.

My wife liked her dobby but since prefers hexon 2.4. I sweat like a pig in dobby and prefer hexon 1.6. I also feel the ridges (folds?) in dobby much more so than hexon.
