On the way back home from the New Glarus Hang, I purchased four gallons of water and dropped them off at Lapham Peak. In the rare and tragic event I get hit by a bus and die before this hang, I'm letting you know where I put them.

Walk past the grill and towards the pit toilet. Turn right and find this tree:

To the right of the first tree, you will see this 2nd tree. "x" marks the spot.

While I was there I also checked out the wood situation. There are a lot of downed trees about 50-100 feet from the grill. They are big trees and also pretty wet. Here's a picture to show you:

Seems like in more years than not there has been at least one snowfall before Halloween, so I expect it will have.

Woo-Hoo! On Friday night we will have our Kikkoman soy sauce brined chicken party! I'll also be bringing baked potatoes (bring your own toppings), carrots, biscuits w/ butter, and apple dessert.

Basically, Friday dinner is provided by Kikkoman! I figure the gift card will cover up to 10 people and we have 6 right now.

Since this is a hike-in site, let's get coordinated with food so we aren't hauling down tons of unnecessary extras.
