WI, July 8,9,10 "Da Shack Hang" Central WI

WI, Da Shack Hang, July 8,9,10.
    Join us.

Offering a chance to hang out in the woods with "da shack". Plenty of good hardwood for bonfires, lots of trees to hang from, no water, no electricity, one "porta-potty", and "da shack". It even has a gas stove/oven, in addition to the wood stove.

Located 1.7 miles NW of the Iola Winter Sports Club grounds and very close to the Ice Age Trail.

We could go to the Winter Sports Club hiking X-C ski trails, check out the ski jumps, go hiking on the farm, maybe play at the lake if you like. A nice day hike would be from da shack on the IAT west of hwy "T" to New Hope Pines. A couple miles away, then return to da shack. Next day hike east of Hwy "T" on the ski trails or hike (or carpool) to the small lakes identified on the map.

Check out the Iola Winter Sports Club on Google Maps, looking for a small white dot in the woods about 1/2 mile north on Highway "T", then 1/2 mile east off the road.

I have a 100 acre farm with hardwoods, a small pine plantation, big alfalfa field, lake frontage on the south shore of Budsberg Lake, and trails used for hiking, XC skiing, snowshoeing, etc. Da shack is an old two-story farm granary that I moved from the old homestead by the road to up in the woods at the top of a hill. There is no water by da shack, and I use 12 volt light bulbs on marine batteries for lighting. There is a four burner LP gas stove with oven in the shack, along with a great wood burning stove. There are three bunk beds, a few recliners, and some 15 degree sleeping bags. To the east, at the bottom of the hill is a natural spring that is the headwaters of a creek. Water there is crystal clear.
West of the shack is a recycled commercial porta-potty with home-made windows!!! Bonfire ring along with an unlimited supply of good oak firewood, and lots of hang site options.

Perhaps Dux could work the GoogleMaps trick again.

Also, could someone do a spreadsheet

We will be there, with woods/brush clearing tools and a strong, well.... willing anyways, back!!!

Should be time to brew up a batch of "Da Shack" stout, or at least some consumable combination of hops and barley!!

Thank you to our gracious host!

Hey, Moose Drool is tasty, but I always prefer Tumblejuice rocket fuel...

A close inspection of the IAT west of the winter Sports Club land shows a gap on the IAT where trail turns south on Stoltenburg Road, then west on highway MM, then north on highway T, reconnecting to the IAT. I intend to clear the brushy overgrowth on our the trail, eliminating the road walk, and and making it a part of the IAT again. It will be done this summer.

Dogs, cats, whatever are welcome if they are members of the family.

Nope, not working. When you share it, you need to give permission for anyone to be able to edit it. Right now I have to request permission
