ViDEO: Adjusting Secondary Suspension on a Full Length UnderQuilt

I see more and more folks getting befuddled by adjusting UQs.
Here is one on adjusting the secondary suspension on my Loco Libre Full Length -10º Habanero.
Hopefully it will give some insight into getting a good fit with their Full Length UQs.

and he hit's it outta the ball park once again! Thanks Shug for another informative video

edit: I see the baffles sewn on the diagonal, has anyone ever tried sleeping across them? I usually sleep head left, feet right but sometimes I switch sides so my head is on the same side as my wife's. Think it'll make a difference?

    nice, shug.

one thing i have to work on with full length UQ's: a tight suspension being a must, tends to fight the diagonal lay and pull the feet to the center some.

i know you just got the full length quilt. have you experienced this yet?

with current construction and typical configuration, i think this is inevitable. i'm toying with rigging a way to attach the foot end of the UQ to the hammock itself. i haven't tried it yet but its on the to-do list.

i'd be interested if anyone has tried to deal with this.

it's not a gear killer for me at all. love my full length UQs. but, i'm going to try and figure this out........

    great vid.

Thanks. I don't think it would make that much difference...still a lot of down up against you either way.

I never have felt my feet being pulled in. You could bias your footend to maybe try and fix that or even loosen things just a wee bit......https://youtu.be/D9N3KkV5Zf4

Nicely done!! Enjoy your trip with your bud, it's easy to see your excited to go. I'm headed north tomorrow to spend 7 days with my brother, a combination of spring turkey season with trout fishing as an appetizer.

    Take care,

    Mike
Every hike begins with the first step and ends with the last one, it is all the steps in between that create all the memories.

If you sleep across the baffles it won't compromise the insulation. The inner shell takes your body weight either way, while the outer is differential cut so it will allow the down to loft.
