finally got out in the woods and was able to use it on my tarp, i use mini line-loks and they held the illumaline great, had wind the 2nd night out, not alot but probably gusts in the 15mph range and there was no slippage at all, they were also very bright when a light was shined on them and seemed to hold knots really well, seems to be very good stuff from my initial useage

Awesome! Glad to hear it held tight in the wind.

Finally managed to get a picture of it in the dark, which turns out to be extremely difficult (my poor photo skills, not the line itself). If I can hit upload the right way, here's a pic of some illumaline added onto one of my existing tarp tieouts. This is the black line, but it reflects almost pure white in the flash. Visibility is excellent, much better than this poor picture shows.illumaline.jpg

Didn't get any photos of the Illlumaline this weekend, but my son and I spent 3 nights on the AT and we used the Illumaline for several different things.

First, I replaced my tarp attachment lines, from some reflective cord I got at ****'s Sporting Goods to Illumaline. The thickness of the cord I was using made it very difficult to attach and move the Dutch Tarp Flies. The Illumaline is a smaller diameter thickness, which made it easier to use the Tarp Flies. As far as strength, it was sufficient for this use and there was no noticeable stretch or problems using it for this purpose.

Second, I used it on my bear bag to hang it from the trees. It was nice to be able to shine the light and see that the bag was still where we put it at any point of the night. Again, no problems using it for this purpose.

Last, I used it for tie out points on my tarp. I only used it on the pull outs, as I have a good system in place for the other tie outs. It was a good cord for this use as well.

All in all, I think this is a great product. It has a great reflective property, the strength and durability seems great so far. I will leave more feedback later on how it holds up over the summer and the trips we take. So far, so good! Better than what I was using!!! Thanks!!!
