    My first Continuous Loops

OK So you guys that are making your first UQ's and Bridge Hammocks aren't going to be very impressed, but hey even YOU started somewhere!

Using an excellent tutorial from "Hoot" on the tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bt2XR7Qg1RM , (Thanks Hoot!!) I crafted my first CL's from Dynaglide.

I can see how this could be addicting, I'm glad I ordered 150' of the stuff!

I made a 12" loop, with no goal in mind for use (but I'm sure I'll come up with something) and a dinky small loop (cam out to about 5" circumference) by sight (no measuring) to use for hanging my Luci camp lantern.

Here is a picture of the finished project and the tools I used.

And here is my small CL larksheaded to my Luci.

I used stripped 16 guage copper wire from an old fluorescent ballast for the fishing tool and it worked great after making the openings in the Dynaglide with my little Husky awl.

Next up, a few more 12" CLs and then on to whoopies!

    This is fun!!

Oh yeah! I need a good tutorial on Dynaglide shackles. I've seen them made with 7/64th but not with the smaller diameter line. You have any good links?

Nice, makes me want to make some now. I made a bunch for the first time last spring and put them around my tent pegs as pulls. I like that color.

Cool, I also made my first continuous loops about 10 days ago. It's a lot of fun making them. Now I am planning on making an adjustable ridgeline
I keep learning and will never know enough.

Let me know how it turns out and what tutorial you're using, if it's not too much trouble. Thanks!

For amsteel Soft shackles, here is a good calculator. LINK.

And for tying the knot, I found this video very helpful. (LINK)

    Good Luck!
