Hey everyone I am also a newbie. I am just putting my tarp sytem together as well, I ordered a two stinger set up with 12' of lash it on a continuous loop for my ridgeline. Trying to decide between the fleaz or the flyz for my guy line set up. Can you use the flyz along with shock cord looped around the tarp d-ring or does it have to be locked and used attached to the guy line only. Any advice much appreciated.

IMO, Flyz would be overkill for the guy lines. I use Fleaz. I happen to use them "backwards" (my Fleaz are on my detachable guy lines) so that they function like Hookworms. I simply prefer the tensioning with Fleaz compared to the way you do it with Hookworms.

I would chose fleas over flyz if for no other reason, they are less expensive. You don't need the adjust-ability of the flyz. Also look at Tarp Worms.

That's the thing about Dutch. He only want to sell you what you need!

I just happen to "need" a bunch more stuff from him and have to take the time to put an order together...

I vote for fleaz too, tiny little hardware, mine on yellow loop not to loose them.
