This is what I ment if trees are too far, or the zing it too short

Option 1: /the original zing it spliced still there, might be confusing, another piece of zing it is used to tie to tree/

Option 2: /the created loop of unused zing it in my hand, original spliced zing it/

Tied on the tree with both options:

I love my little fleaz! I have set them up exactly like stingers at times. I have them on loops, which gives them quite a bit of versatility, so yes, I usually use them to create a V right off the tarp, but I can adapt for the situation i.e. using the loop like a prussik further up the line, looping the line to a tree and only having one end link to the fleaz etc.. I don't use a CRL, but two individual lines off the ends. And I don't adjust my tarp's RL after, I know where it needs to go and put it there from the get go.

People swear by their stingers, and they certainly have their place, but like I said, I'm happy with my fleaz.

So, I take it, you originally meant Flyz and not Fleaz(?)

Yep, my bad. I meant these: http://www.dutchwaregear.com/flyz.html
Homer: Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks.

Hank Scorpio: Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks!

I have two Stingerz but plan to use one Stingerz and one Wasp on my next tarp. Best of both worlds. I use the Fleaz on my D Ring Guy lines to the stake.

Wasps are the prettiest part I make. Flyz are what I rock though.

Now, if that eye at the end of a Stingerz was just a bit bigger, it would be very easy to switch back and forth between the "standard" configuration and the way hutzelbein uses them by being able to larkshead to either the tarp loop (or split ring), or to the Stingerz, or neither (the loop-around-the-tree configuration)...

I guess you could add a split ring to the Stingerz, but that would be a bit less elegant.
