I'm thinking of using a carabiner to hang my backpack from my Whoopie Sling, attaching it near the foot end of my hammock and under my tarp?
Problems?

nope. just keep an eye on fraying
Rather than using a carabiner, I steal a tip from dejoha and use a stick across my continuous loop. http://theultimatehang.com/2013/07/s...ntinuous-loop/

Works for me. I use a soft shackle.

Works fine, thousands of us do it.

I hang it from the head end to help keep the foot end higher.
any problem with hanging prussiks off the whoopie slings to use as a mounting point for a gear hammock hanging below? this would allow me to adjust the mounting points to get the hang for the gear hammock just right. Not sure how this weight would interfere with the ability to adjust the whoopies?
I also hang it from the head end. I don't really know how it impacts the hang after I'm in the hammock, and I hang the head end a little lower anyway, but I do like to make sure that my feet are a little higher than my head. The stick-toggle is a fantastic idea.

Anyone use an under quilt protector as a gear hammock. Is it strong enough?. Too big?.
I have a 2QZQ UQP
