After lots of time trying to get comfortable in non-diy hammocks, I made a hammock, and I love it. I would like to add a bugnet and zipper, but I dont know how. links would be great.

+1 on XTrekker's YouTube video listed above, his is the best design and instructional video I have every seen, probably meets your requirements the best.
However it your prefer a separate net that can be completely removed, this "Fronkey" has become a virtual classic at HF with many variations to it. (advantage: use with more than one hammock, disadvantage: more weight and material. Zippers add weight but are fast to get in and out of and some people feel more secure using them. I remain pragmatic and have no strong preferences, depends on the trip.)

+2 on XTrekker's YouTube video as well. I followed Scott's instruction over at diygearsupply.com
My biggest advice it make sure you pull out the sides and start in the middle and work your way out. I didn't pull it out as far as I needed to the first time and I had to redo it because the bug net was too droopy.
I just invested a bunch of money into materials needed to do the same thing today over at DIY Gear Supply. Removable bug nets with zippers on a each of my two son's Grand Trunk Ultralights. Thanks for the links and tips above.
I'm also having issues with installing a bug net. I'm a little intimidated by the thought of sewing a zipper all the way around my hammock... TWICE becuae I also want to install a weather shield. I'm just not sure how I'm going to do it yet. Especially with the bridge hammock. I keep coming back to the idea of a "soft-seal' type of system.
Now all you guys need to tell me how easy it is to install a zipper in my hammock. Correction - TWO zippers.
I make gear... lots and lots of gear.

In the beginning... I started small with simple tablecloth/ channels and I now..am about to put a zipper on a test hammock. Have a tablecloth one ready to sew. Put the triangles on...
Then I get a call...guy wanting me to do two more tablecloths lol. Just bought the zipper and mesh yesterday so it broke my rhythm . I think the more you do the less shock value the next project has.
Ya, that's the way I'm looking at it. Just start. You'll get better and it will get easier.
Okay. I'll now order supplies!
