If you've been watching, you've probably gathered that we have something cooking in the area of fabric prints. That announcement is coming, I promise, but first I thought we'd kick things off with a little contest.
Everyone knows Woodland Camo. It's been around forever and usually comes in some mix of earthy greens, browns, and blacks. Standard is OK, but what if you had the freedom to create your own? Instead of settling for what's available, YOU have an idea, YOU pick the colors, YOU create it.
I'd like to give you that freedom with this contest. Here's a quick video to start:
Here's how the design challenge will work:
1) Check out the baseline woodland camo pattern shown below. Note the 4 labeled color areas:

2) Now comes the fun part. Come up with a 4 color scheme that you'd like to see. Inspiration knows no bounds, so feel free to get creative. Here's a resource for picking colors:

3) Find and post your 4 color codes in this thread. Format can be CMYK, RGB, or HEX. Here's what the Carolina Panthers video example would look like:
#1 - #FFFFFF
#2 - #0088CE
#3 - #A5ACAF
#4 - #000000
4) We'll REPLY to your post with a digital mockup using your color palette. This will allow you and everyone else to see what your woodland camo would look like.
5) Once the submission period is over (TBD time frame), we'll organize a vote. Top three vote getters will receive the following:
- 4 yds of hammock fabric printed in their custom woodland camo OR a $25 gift certificate to RBTR

I think this could be a really cool thing. I can't even begin to tell you how fun it is to design these patterns and then see them brought to life on outdoor fabric. My goal here is to open that up to the entire community as best I can. Let's have some fun!
