In several recent photos, on a SHUG video (Hickory Brothers), and on a Backpacking Adventures video, I've seen something that I believe in at least on of these was referred to as a "flag bag". What it was was a square bag attached to their hammock suspension with custom details, such as their name, trail name, or company logo. What are they, what are their use, and where do you get them?
Not a bag....just a flag. Hammock Forum flags by Devil Woman Flag. She does custom flags for HF members that are hung from the hammock suspension. Usually used at group hangs.

So yeah, one of them was that one for sure, but the others were not Hammock Forum ones, and were more custom. Thanks for the info.
Yes..let her know what color(s) you want and if you want your name on the flag. She does great work and the price is very reasonable. Recommend you ask her to add grommets to the top corners to make it easier to hang the flag from your ridgeline.
I had her make me a hiking skeeter flag for my local hiking trail.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
I got a customized HF flag from her, as well as a larger customized flag for my raft. She is great to work with.

Here's mine. Completely custom. Worth the 1.7 oz penalty for some camp customization. And yes, I do weigh everything I take with me. It's a sickness.

I do have a flag bag, from Marty at WildernessLogics. It isn't customized though, it says WildernessLogics on it. I searched his website to link to it and couldn't find it.Originally Posted by backpkrmn
