    Osprey Volt 60 liter FT

I have my first real backpack, a blue Osprey Volt 60 liter, for trade. It's an adjustable torso pack, meaning the torso can be adjusted up to 5." It also has velcro adjustments to the hipbelt so you can dial in the fit on that as well. I believe it weighs about 3 1/2 lbs. This pack is really nice, and I used it for about a year until I moved to a smaller pack.

I would like to trade for some nice trekking poles with flick locks, or a warm weather 3/4 synthetic underquilt, or make me a counteroffer of something cool!

I've just recently started getting into hiking, and have been trying to do so more or less "on the cheap". Packs... are not cheap it would appear. This would be a great boon for me to figure out what exactly it is that I'm wanting, as right now I just haven't ever had anything to compare it to, and I don't want to invest lots into my first pack just to discover that it is way to large/small/etc.

I've got a Kabar Becker BK2 with a drop leg sheath mod, and spare injection molded (stock) sheath for it that I'd gladly trade. Other than that, I can't throw too much into the trade other than a firesteel or two, as I simply don't have much outdoor gear to my name yet.

Imageshack closing (more accurately, charging) messed up my online images, and I don't have a good photo of the sheath at the moment, as I'm at work. But here are a few photos of the knife.

The BK2 is the knife on the right. The drop leg sheath is made for the loop to be attached to your belt, which then allows the knife to be attached or removed without removing your belt. The belt at the bottom of the sheath is to keep the knife from flopping around while you walk, and puts the pommel for the knife approximately at the bottom of most typical pant pockets (to give an idea where it rides). That puts it out of the way of hip belts/etc, although admittedly, this isn't the type of knife you typically want to hike anywhere with... its very heavy. Makes a good basecamp/truck knife, or for fire prep work at the cabin/etc.

Anyway. I figured it never hurts to ask.

Good luck on finding a trade that works out for you sir .

I have some new Carbon Fiber hiking poles with quick lock adjustments. They are new because I got 2 pair and my kids haven't wanted to use them.
Let me know if you are interested.

Hey everyone, I am sorry I haven't responded sooner. I am an accountant, so I had the tax season, last second crunch going on until Monday, then I had yesterday off to recuperate. I had a $100 gift card from REI from Christmas, and I ended up buying the trekking poles on Sunday. I wish I had waited another day Sashasrd!

I am pretty much set on the other gear offered, but thanks for all the offers!
