    1.0 HyperD

I know it is a stronger diamond weave, but does anyone have advice on how to find out a weight limit on it?

I'd love to make a hammock out of this, but I'm unsure if it would hold my 170lb self :P

I'd say 170 is doable, but pretty close to the upper limit. Consider looking at RobicXL 1.0, which weighs the same but is significantly stronger.

    Thumbs up

I've made two 11' hammocks from the 1.6 HD XL. I am 200 lbs. and it hasn't been an issue at all. Go for it.

I've had a 11' gathered end 1.0 HyperD hanging up in an equipment space for the last couple months on-board the USS Anzio (CG-68). Guys between 150 and 210 Lbs have been using it pretty continuously. Some with boots on and knives on their belts, with no issues so far. I figured it was a good way to stress test the fabric and I could not be more happy with it.

I'm about 230. My diy holds me fine and is comfortable. It is stretchier than I like but I have no doubt that I could sleep in it nightly for a long time.

I'm 165 with no issues. I would just avoid hanging under 30 degrees

    350 in 1.6 and I sleep like a baby. So I think you're safe.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I appreciate all the info. I am going to give the 1.0 a shot. Now the hard choice of what color to get I am thinking blaze or burnt orange... or perhaps royal blue
