    Announcing new DIY site, MakeYourGear.com

I am officially opening my new DIY site called www.MakeYourGear.com.

I will have a lot of DIY gear for making Hammocks, tarps and quilts of course. But also I wanted products for making things like backpacks, sheaths, stoves and....

There will be ingredients for making dehydrated and freeze dried meals so you can make healthy light weight backpacking meals that fit your tastes, portion size, and dietary needs. Also we developed a high temperature food safe bag that his short and wide with a 6 inch gusset so it opens like a bowl.

Also I am making the hundreds of items easier to search by the project you want to make. For example, if you want to make a hammock, you click hammock and only products for making hammocks will come up.

This will allow me to expand the Dutchware site to include even more hammock related products (read full netted hammock) which by my own admission was getting too full. If you know me at all, you know that this is the beginning and although there is a lot on MYG now, I will be expanding my selections to have the widest array of DIY products on the net.
    Peace Dutch

    Great idea.
I might decide to try and make a tarp. Great idea for those of us looking to save some money and try and do it ourselves, and gain some pride and experience in the process.
    Edit:
Also, like the idea of the food portion for your site as well.

By the way, great marketing video! I'm sure that took some coordination to put together.

This sounds pretty awesome. I've been meaning to try my hand at some DIY stuff, and this just might be the right kick in that direction.

    Congrats !!

    You guys are nuts!

    Wish List
-doing sheaths? add stuff for leather, basic kit, supplies, some leather
-knives - strop kits, piece of wood, 2 pieces of leather, gorilla glue, 2 types of compound - easy peasy kit
-backpacks - need stuff for the hip belt, 2" nylon webbing, big buckle, 3D mesh
-stoves - wood box ash catchers or burn blockers, specifically round 4", 5", 6" diameter for popular wood gasifier stoves
-fabric - HOT KNIFE FOR CUTTING RIPSTOP
-fabric - cutting board, roll up type, kind of like the stuff they used to use on old drafting tables before CAD but bigger than the 2' or 3' square stuff offered with grid, standard size for one of those plastic fold up tables
-stove - portable spit, 2 stand pieces that look like >-----< you drive in the ground vertically and a skewer that lays on top, I keep burning my brats on the gasifier
fabric - templates, lots of templates

Love the new premium webbing, better than the tubular type.
    Have sherpas, will travel...
