    Robic xl hammock

Made me a couple of 10 1/2 foot gathered end hammocks using ripstopbytheroll 1.0 Robic fabric in hunter green. Made them the full width 58". Very nice material looks great and feels good. I used some water soluble fabric glue to tack all he seams before sewing. Then washed them and all the glue came out. Made a much easier and better job of sewing. I know this is not new just saying what i did. Very pleased with his fabric.

Full width 58"? Are you sure you don't mean 68" width?

Great! Would like to hear your feedback on the comfort. I have a 10.5' with Robic XL coming from Bearded Hanger, since my DIY skills pretty much max out at building a PB&J sandwich. I'm hoping to have it soon.

Aleene's clear gel tacky glue. It is water cleanup and not for washables. The first hammock I was careful with the glue so no problems. Second one, well bad day, and I was making a mess of the tacking process. Got my seams folded different directions glue everywhere. I quit and washed in washing machine and all the glue came out. So more carefully I re-did it and after finishing sewing washed again and all the glue came out completly. Really happy with results. I have membrane .93 on order for tarp and plan on trying glue on it also.

Thanks. I have one heck of a time keeping seams straight and was thinking of seam glue.

I have slept in it every night for a week or so and very comfortable. I can not tell much difference from m,y 1.0 ripstop. The material Has a nicer feel than my taffeta table cloth hammocks with more spring in the Robic. But not in a bad way. I held it up to a backlight last night and checked it all over and absolutely no stretch or stress at all in the fabric. Seems like all my other hammocks show some signs of stress fairly quickly. Supposed to be stronger. We shall see.
