I have the old style with the 2x2 leg's and do use it. Matter of fact i will be using it Saturday since they low they are calling for is 30* in NC and i have a recently purchased hammock gear 20* burrow, phoenix, and dream hammock that i just picked up on the forum (shhh don't tell my blackbird, i'm cheating...) a few weeks ago. I do not have any good hanging trees in my yard (just a bunch of dogwoods and fig trees) so the TATO is my only means of hanging unless i'm in the woods.
I purchased the kick starter version and will be passing this one on to my dad when the new one comes in. i like how the new one keeps the legs from spreading out so i can use it under my carport on rainy nights when i don't feel like messing with my tarp.
The wood legs on the old one make me nervous on slick area's.
That's my two penny's anywho.....

I've been using the EMT pipe version since this past August.. I like it well enough for it to replace my bed... I'm getting the newer light weight camper version from the kickstarter campaign for car camping. Not any Cons that I can think of considering what it is.
No matter where you go...There you are..
I've got a Warbonnet Ridgerunner. Anyone know the length of pipe I would need for the horizontal pipe?

12 feet is what I use for a blackbird. I would not go much more than that.
