TATO hammock stand - any body using one?

We have 2 of them and they do excatly what they are intended to do woth no problems!
Alittle heavy but they are only for my treeless back yard.

As others have replied, 12' for blackbird and 13' for ridgerunner.
One thing I experimented with, and we will keep in the mix is that I have 6' legs on the one for my wife's RR (13' RP) and then 5' legs on the one I use for my BB (12' RP). THEN I mounted her Superfly under her RP (fit perfect on the 13' RP) and had the side that is facing my BB in sort of a porch mode and the outer edge draped over the RP for my BB with about ~2ft over lap and then taken out to stakes away from my SF which was staked down on that side. I then rolled up the side of my SF that was facing her SF and loosely bungied it to the underside of my RP. I know all that sounds confusing... I WILL post pictures once the weather allows us to set them up for a photo op (rain, rain, rain!).

What this allows is our two superflys are being utilized to create a standing room area between the two hammocks and privacy with the end-flaps draped down (they are not totally closed off due to the one SF being in a quasi porch mode, but close enough).

Anywhoo, this season we will be 100% TATO stands (Oh, we use the 1" EMT kit version) and won't bother with trees at all. The stand and set up is just to simple to pass up...and of course the rangers luv the idea.

Guys,
Got my kit tonight and went to the big box store and had the conduit cut. Legs at 6' with a 2' and 3' section to add to the 10 foot piece. Assembly was very simple. The only question I have is what are the little round inserts for? Are these to simply keep dirt out of the poles? Also do you mount the round inserts and then use the rubber over the round inserts if you want to use the stand on slippery surfaces? I love this kit. Seems really well made. Thanks in advance.

The inserts? or the rubber plugs and caps? are for carpeted or wood floors...Also I think you can download the hammock stand assembly instructions from Brian's website.

Yea, I went through the assembly instructions but still wasn't sure what the "plugs" were for. The rubber feet are obvious. I'm trying to determine if I need the plugs in when using it outside to keep dirt from going up the pipe but also wondered if the legs would slide on grass with the plugs in?

I didn't bother with that as I mostly hang indoors with this one..I'm looking forward to getting the new lighter weight version when they become available...The plugs are probably a good idea if it's wet outside..[Like today and most all of next week!]

Here is a shot of our 1" EMT TATO stand(s) setup:

What I did was string my wife's Superfly (left) on a 13' ridgepole on 78" legs (with real tree camo duct tape) and then draped my Superfly over the top of a 12' ridgepole. I then took her SP edge over the top of my SF on RP and tied it off to ground on same pegs used for my SP. I then took the other side of my SF which is under the top part of her SF and tied it off to an inner ridgeline hanging under her SP. Got that? ; )

She is using a WB Ridgerunner, and i'm using a WB Blackbird. We had one night of steady rain and kept dry under a taut-as-a-drum middle section between ridgepoles.

On answering your Q, I went ahead and put the pipe insulating foam you can get at lowes/HD on my RP just in case there might have been some burrs or anything on the EMT.
