    Hi from Northwest Louisiana

Greetings hangers! I have been watching Shug's videos for a couple of years now and I've finally ordered a Hobo hammock (mainly because of the company philosophy). I camped a ton in my youth. My sister and I traveled the country with our aunts so most of my childhood summers were spent in the woods. In the last couple of decades, I "camped" in cabins as a member of a middle ages reenactment group but I don't know if that's really camping. I am excited to try the hammock. My only experience is with the woven net style hammock you may have seen. I've heard it's really comfortable and as I'm 40, working on getting into shape, and "getting out there" with my wife who has about as much camping experience as I do, I would like the firm sleep without having to lay on the ground. I'm glad to be part of this community and I can't wait to share my experiences.

    Welcome!

Welcome from another new camper and new hanger and neighbor from Deep East Texas, a couple of counties from your border and 100 miles from Herby K's.

It's great your wife's interested too, this is a great hobby and so much fun. With Shreveport's pines, ya'll could stealthily hang all over town!

100 miles is way to far! I had an idea of hanging in some of the wooded areas that dot the city. There are quite a few. I forget where it is, but a few friends several years back showed me a completely secluded site that used to be a drive in theater that is smack in the middle of town. It's so odd and a perfect spot.

I can't wait to get started.
