    That is very cool. It would be really neat (and expensive) to do a cross section of some of the more popular quilts. Also a comparison between down and synthetics. looking forward to more testing!

    I completely agree that it would be neat to test a mix of popular quilts/materials. However, I'm not sure I'd be able to float those PO's by the CFO (wife). I do have a DIY UQ that didn't make it out into the field this time round - I'll see if I can get a test of that in before it warms up too much.

    The feedback here and elsewhere has been great and has given me some ideas on similar tests we can run. With some luck I'll be out again later this week.

    Great test. It's always nice to visualize science. Good job!
    You should bring your testing setup to a group hang and ask participants to borrow their stuff. That way you could test even more gear.
