How do you hang your top quilts?

I hang TQs on big hangers in a closet. I keep my UQs in a couple of laundry baskets, the suspension was hard to keep wrangled when hanging. Just my experience. I prefer the idea of hanging as well, but the laundry baskets were too easy for UQs.

I do somewhat the same thing, but I hang my UQ from a hangar in my closet. I haven't finished my TQ yet but will store it that same way.

I would never wish it on any outdoor store, but if there is ever one that goes out of business near you, the sleeping bag hangers are great for quilts too.

What's the best practice on temperature and humidity on where you store down quilts? I'd like to put these in my garage, but am concerned about heat and humidity changes here in the south. I've read through the vendors' websites that are popular here on HF, but they don't seem to address this.

I use pillow cases in a closet myself.

I keep my Costco DIY quilts folded in the top of a bathroom linen closet. I'd prefer to hang them in the basement, but my basement has too much moisture to consider that an option.

I used to hang mine on coat hangers through the tag or the draw cord, but I got sick of it eating a whole closet. Now I put each one in one of those reusable shopping bags and toss them in a blind corner in the closet. I think as long as they aren't fully compressed you are OK. Mine are stuffed just enough to get them in the sacks, but still plenty fluffy. I think its honestly more important to really air them out a couple days when you get home than whether they are hung completely uncompressed. The other thing about hanging them is it gives gravity as chance to pull the fill to the whichever end is down. Just tossing them in a sack on the floor, there is no opportunity for the down to drift one way or the other.

I've nailed some hooks in my garage and keep them hung up. I use to store my synthetic just in tis bag but recently switched to having all of my gear hang.
