I have tried sleeping in a hammock in dead, still, humid air and was miserable. I have pretty much eliminated summer camping because of it. However, I am interested to see if anyone has tried Duluth Trading Company's Armichillo clothing. The claim is that the fabric has something embedded in it that makes you cool. I haven't tried it, but am a big fan of Duluth Trading company stuff, so I might be willing to give their marketing claims some benefit of the doubt.

Homer: Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks.

Hank Scorpio: Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks!

Love this idea. I carry a quality backup battery so powering a usb fan is a no brainer!!
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Well, right from the top, bug nets are hot. Simply impossible to be comfortable in hot weather with a net. I use permethrin liberally, on everything.

A single layer hammock is cooler than a double. If you need a little something under you, an uqp is often enough.
For a top cover, I use a cut down microfiber sheet from WM.

Ok, I'm going to head to the local Asian grocery store to ask if they carry this. Googled it and apparently people love this stuff. Old dog = me, this = new trick
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same
