    DIY "media" Ridgeline organizer

Hey guys, just thought Id share this little project ...

Rarely do I do that, but when out on the trail for a few nights, it happens that I pop a movie or some shows on my phone to watch them either before bed or when the weather keeps in my hammock. now I've always had issues watching it with the phone in the regular organizer since its been facing sideways and holding a phone up for 20 minutes is annoying and doesn't allow you to warm your arms in the TQ ...

    here's my solution!
I also planned room for my Power pack to fit in there so the phone can be charge from that R.O.

    Cheers!

That's a top idea! I normally read a book, but like you my arms get cold.
Is it distracting to watch through the mesh? An improvement would be to add thin clear pvc or similar so the mesh doesn't impede the view. Just my two bobs worth?!

Actually the mesh doesnt bother at all, specially at night time, because of the brightness of the screen, of course you may lose the SUPER HD ... but hey, You're camping ... do Ill deal with it!

    thanks for the tip!

Nice that I'm at a place where no one comments on the hammock mounted to the interior walls... lol. My GF thought I was nuts!

Looks like a nice bit of work there.
Have you tried the elastic band hack, works pretty well too.

looks good. I may "borrow" that idea and modify it a bit. I know that when I put my phone in my mesh organizer I don't notice the mesh either. ive tried the rubber band trick before but with my phones extremely small bezel it doesn't work so well and cuts off the corners of my screen. I keep some hooks in my walls for my hammocks too but unfortunately I don't use them anymore as my preferred length of hammock is too long to fit anymore.

Yeah! the rubber band would work fine, but I want to be able to charge my phone while watching it so this was my solution!

Bladerunner! of course you may, thats why we share our ideas here! ... just make sure to show what mod you did, Im curious.

yeah Indoor hanging is a must for me since I dont have trees on my property to hang outside. that way I can test my gear indoors!

if you have a case just use a small piece of fabric scrap about 2 inches wide and long enough for the length of the phone and a bit so it hangs like a triangle then pop it in the ends that way the phone lays flat or you can kinda pull it to angle it super easy much like the rubber band method
if its a piece of nylon or something super light weight it can live in the back of your case folded in half
might depend on your case etc.. ?
