    Hello from Marysville, Pa!

My name is Bob and I live in Marysville, Pa. I'm new to this hammock idea so I joined because I have a lot to learn. Found that other forums that interest me are a good place to pick up advice, hints and tricks. So here I am. I'm retired and age 61. Don't do a lot of backpacking, but enjoy camping and it doesn't matter if it is in our travel trailer or a tent with my motorcycle. Wanted to try a hammock because I'm getting to old to sleep on the ground anymore. Thanks for allowing me to join.

Welcome to the forum, I suggest you make a trip down to MAHHA in a few weeks. You can meet some people and try out some different setups. An added plus there will be plenty of prime tent spots available
Even if you can't spend the night or nights, stop by for a few hours (you are very close).

Gosh, you're awfully close to Duncannon and the Appalachian Trail. Have been to Duncannon twice, once when section-hiking the AT through PA. Enjoyed my time in the state. Took me two trips to hike the whole AT PA section.

You've come to a great site for hammocking, youngster. Welcome from Nashville, TN.

Welcome. I've been in the Duncannon area many times when we did Royal Ranger campouts there. I also have relatives in Shermans Dale. It is a beautiful area.
