    Spring gear check

Spring is on us and as I try to every year here is your gear check reminder. For many folks your gear has not been used in months and so it's time to get it out before your first spring trip and check the condition of everything. Make sure your straps are in good shape and not still hanging on the last trees you used last fall. Make sure your Whoopies don't show any bad wear. No threads pulled on either, no bad fraying. Make sure your suspension gear is free from grit, dirt, oils, and other grime that can break down the fibers inside the line.

Be aware that all of the cottage shops are getting busier and busier this time of year and orders can take longer to get made and shipped as spring spreads across the US. Plan accordingly by checking your gear a few weeks ahead of your trips to be sure if you need a replacement it will have time to get to you.....overnight shipping is expensive. Plan ahead rather than rushing to get gear last minute.

At Arrowhead we are stocked up and have literally hundreds of Whoopie slings and miles of webbing in stock ready to be custom made into straps. We have over a thousand pairs of toggles, tarp stakes, fuel bottles, and all of the other bits that get dropped around camp and need replaced before you next trip. We are the original gear shop for slings and custom lenght tree straps and are hear to be sure your set to hang this spring.

Thanks Paul. I think a lot of people forget about this, they're so eager to get out there.

Yes indeed it's something that a lot of folks forget to double check until it's time to get on the trail. And a lot of folks don't take production time from the custom made cottage shops into account when they are needing last minute items. Just based on the last 10 days our production times have roughly doubled as we work first come first served. Some items we can get made and out in just a day or two but some items are going to take upwards of a week in production. Plan accordingly.
