    SLD Trail Lair experience question

    Hi folks,

I want to buy the Trail Lair from Simply Light Designs and had a chance to try it out. However, I noticed that my head touches the side of the hammock/bugnet on the left (I sleep from head left to feet right).

Even more so when laying on my side.

    I tried a 11 foot version and I myself am 6 feet.

I wiggled around, but couldn't seem to change that. Did I do something wrong? Is the hammock to long? Or is this something that is normal for hammocks in general or this hammock in particular?

Anyone have any similar experience with the Trail Lair?

I know Jared can add tie outs, but I would prefer not to have these (personal preference).

I normally use 1 tie out at the head end on all my hammocks. *Jared by the way.

Never had that problem but mine has the knotty mod that might help some. I don't think I've ever used the bug net but once, I like it better net less.

I need a bugnet. The woods are loaded with mosquitos. But what do you mean with knotty mod?

There really isn't an existence of knotty mods with built net hammocks..

The knotty mod is -if I remember well- a shock cord in a part of the side hem, to prevent the side from becoming sloppy. See
