Question Indoor — Can YOU recognize the hammock in this picture?

    Hello everyone,

I wouldn't even call myself a beginner, as I've never personally owned a hammock or slept in one. However, with a recent purchase of a new condo this is now (for the first time) a real possibility. I've wanted one for a couple years now, a sort of bed replacement despite not getting rid of my bed. I purchased a way-too-expensive Tempurpedic bed but the woman at Art Van kept saying "you don't want a soft version, we'll order a firm version" despite me stating "i want a soft version" a hundred times over.

With all of that said, the below picture looks absolutely perfect for what I'm looking for and I was hoping that someone here could recognize it! I've put quite a bit of effort into researching this, and can't find anything similar on my own that doesn't appear to be for camping or outdoor use. I'm not worried about price, just that it's nice and that I don't hang it like this poor fellow.

    Thanks so much!

It is just a heavy cloth hammock. Some kind of woven stuff that uses a thick yarn

I reverse image searched it and that was all I got.

This type of material could very likely be found at local fabric stores. And then made into a hammock by someone such as myself wink wink
Just um , do not use the window latch to suspend it

. . . and I wouldn't hang the suspension on the window latch. That's just a train wreck waiting to happen.
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

The style of hammock is Brazilian. Start with an internet search for "Brazilian hammock." You'll get a wide choice of vendors, though I doubt you'll find exactly that fabric pattern. Plenty of other fabric patterns to choose from out there.

Nualle is right. Brazilian style. Either Vivere or Island Bay maybe? Anyway, search for a Brazilian hammock to find what you're looking for. And good luck!!!!!

Yep. Brazilian, just don't hang it on a window like that or you're asking for trouble.

It looks like my byer of maine amazonas hammock. I think the current model is called the Barbados. Very comfortable.

would one of these types be good as a daily sleeper though? they all seem to be 100% cotton.
