Wisconsin Here. New to the idea of hammock camping.

Hello all. My name is Huckleberry (yes it really is) New to the idea of hammock camping. My friend who is on here referred me to this site after I was telling him about getting a new hammock. I just got a few weeks a Hennessy hammock from REI. I haven't tried it out yet am excited to use it. I hope to learn some tips and tricks and converse through the many threads on here. Glad to be here and can't wait to tell everyone of my first experience when the weather gets a little bit warmer.

My friend told me about making hammocks as well. Hope to learn how to do that.

Welcome Huckleberry! I lived in Hancock a few years, 30 miles south of Stevens Point. Just look around in here. Anything you need to know is here. I do suggest you test your equipment at home a couple nights to get used to it. I'll never intentionally sleep on the ground again. ��
