Arkansas Hammock Hang. Rescheduled for April 1 - 3 2016.

Because of all the rain and flooding we rescheduled this event. Dates are April 1 - 3rd... The hammock hang will still be at Redding Campground in the Ozarks. The Mulberry River is available to float and fish and many trails to hike. Will be a potluck Sat night and some possible give aways... Hope to see you there.

PS... if the water gets high and we cant camp there, there is a dirt road 1/4 mile on the left just pass turn off to Redding campground.. We will be at top of Hill to the left about 3/4 mile.

Directions: Redding campground is located about 14 miles North of Ozark on AR Hwy 23, then approx. 2.8 miles East on AR Hwy 215, on the banks of the Mulberry River.

I should be able to make it again this year. just now found the post and am actually glad its rescheduled, this weekend looks wet and ive got a few things going on. plus it will give me time to finish my new extra wide hammock. see ya out there

Awesome, looking forward to this. I need a couple nights in a hammock.
I think we would've gotten kicked out big the camp with all this rain also.

Hey Mike, I went by Redding campground yesterday and spent nite up the road @ wolf pen. Both in excellent condition, dry and clean. Appears the forrest service has performed an underbrush burn, earlier in yr. There was NO visible high water debris or damage, in fact looked cleaner than last year when i was by. There was a large smoke flume north (toward Ponca) I would speculate controlled burn somewhere. Anyway just an update, all looks good.

I know last year I was the only one who had cell coverage when we had to move to the hill. im on tmobile and was roaming on an at&t tower. im very much looking forward to this hang as I haven't been able to go out in a little while. I did manage to get my new hyperD xl hammock done and will hopefully have a new UQ if the materials show up beforehand.
