Well, the cupcakes were fantastic and so was the stew! Thank you Dogger and thanks to everyone for a great time. Definitely on the calendar for next year.

Survival gear...ten White Castle hamburgers and my hammock.
I do much more reading here than I do posting, but that's about to change a little.
Although I went to ground this weekend(for the first time in 4 years) none of you were too harsh. Lol
All kidding aside, it was great to meet you fellas and I'm going to try to make some hangs this year. Now I just gotta get both of my boys off the ground. After this weekend, my youngest is hooked.

The cupcakes were supurb!
I made a trip report with the few pictures I saw.
Thanks riverjoe! I had a blast hanging out with you guys. I'm definitely in for next time
A very successful weekend camp . Small I guess by Hammock forum standards , but big for the Bloodroot gang . Most were initiated by smearing the juice of the blood root on their faces . I came up with a rough count of 23 but then I realized I counted dogger twice . Then I realized I needed to count dogger twice since he is larger than life . He brought his famous bacon cupcakes of course also his wife made a wonderful cabbage stew that was out of this world.
We had our hard-core bushcrafters but lots of new hammock guys .Indiana woodsman demonstrated some of his many skills including his carving of the massive Cherry tree that he's been working on .
Myself iand the other young boys worked on atlatls .
Boroskis older son, riverleo and homemade hikers son sitting on the wall and Dave from Michigan another young newcomer in his nifty chair . That's Broski's arm in the foreground I think . Apparently the previous hikers didn't get the memo about leave no trace, hence the new wall.
The grandkids including TZ75mans and Riverleo.
Pics from the Bloodroot Trail .
Boroskis older son at one relativly tough trail feature .
Riverleo pushing his cart up a hill to see if it's easier .

This was an absolute blast! My grand kids loved it! I loved it! What could be better! I really appreciated the invite and glad the weather worked out so I could bring the grand kids. Breaking the wheel on my cart really sucked as I was really overloaded packing for three of us, but was surprised I was able to grunt out all the weight (couple of trips tho lol) Also, the bacon cupcakes were the BOMB! ****, I just can't get over the great time I had with some really great people. Looking forward to doing it again!
Thanks for the response guys . Although I just love this forum to pieces it has always bugged me because of a lack of a thank you button . If folks don't directly respond it makes you think they really didn't think much of the camp or the post or whatever .Of course that is entirely possible, it's just nice to know if somebody wants to do it again sometime .
Thanks Joe!
