'I made templates for the cat curves out of paper and pinned them in place through both halves so they created a mirror image of each other.'

I knew there had to be a way to measure once and cut twice! this is why we post these things...I learned a little something there.

I have way too many questions here. I'm thinking of making my own so bare with me
Did you work off of the winter 12 template on RSBTR?
Did you do the cat cuts for looks/weight savings? Since silpoly isn't prone to stretch?
Is that final weight including ridge line and tie outs and stakes?

I didn't quite have the tarp centered over both ends of the hammock because I needed more cordage, or a smaller tree on the north end, but I ordered more Amsteel and should have it in a few days.

I based this on the Winter 12

I did the cat cuts mostly for looks

And that weight is with the stakes, but not the final cordage I'll be using for tie-outs

Awesome thank you! Tarp looks proper good!

At first I thought 23oz was a little high for the membrane but with the stakes that totally makes sense
