This tarp is not really designed for stormy weather. I see this more as an ultralight shelter to use when weight is your number one priority, and the weather looks fair. Like if you were contemplating not taking a tarp at all. It can take a good amount of rain but if you mix winds in, it's not going to be the right choice. I would use a normal 10x11 for stormy conditions, and I make those too.

Here is a video of a tie out test I did specifically for this tarp with the ultralight materials.

Looking forward to trying this tarp out! Pulled the trigger on it this morning. I was looking for something that is small and light that I can use when the weather is fair. I've got a Superfly for windy and/or stormy trips, but quite often the only weather protection I need is something to keep the dew off. Here in southeast (or, swamp-east) Missouri, being drenched in dew is a given. I think this might be just the ticket! I'll get back to the forum with my impressions once I have a chance to check it out. Very excited!

Thanks, did you want that seam sealed? If you answer me quick I'll go seal it now and still be able to ship tomorrow. And yes that's I think about as light and small as you can go. I would choose that for what you say about dew protection. That's exactly the way I see this tarp, The ultra light, mild weather counterpart to a heavy storm type tarp for when you need that. And I really mean what I say about returns, they are ok. So even if you just decide you wanted a different color or measurement, we could make that happen. You pay shipping. I like happy campers

    Hi David,

Yes I would appreciate it if you would seam seal it. I tried to leave that in the comments of the ebay order, wasn't sure if the message made it or not. Thanks for asking!I'm really looking forward to checking this tarp out. Seems like a fantastic design for the right conditions!

Ok, it's done. Do you have a preference for tight or loose stuff sacks?

Excellent, thanks! As far as sacks go, I think I'd prefer the snug fitting one. Take advantage of the smallness
