New Hanger/Backpacker from So.Cal.

Hello everyone, my name is Erich I'm 42 and I'm from Southern Cal. And I'm new to this. Ive been camping with my wife and 2 kids for 20 plus years. I'm in to hunting, fishing, dirt bikes and the great outdoors but have always used a tent, or a motorhome, which isn't really camping. About 3 years ago I started to get into bushcraft and now I want to incorporate hammock camping and backpacking. Im still butting together my backpacking equipment, but I look forward to many new experiences. It will be mostly my 16 yr old daughter and I on this outings. Thanks and look forward to getting out there.

Welcome from another SoCal resident. I second WillieCashe's recommendation to attend the hang next month. You will get to see some cottage made hammocks and gear in person that you just can't see in stores around here. And with any luck you may win some gear in the raffle.
