    Clark NX 250 underquilt Options

Just curious what is the best option for a NX250 UQ? I'm looking for high quality Down UQ.

I will be winter camping and the temps go down as low as -30 Celcius here in Ontario.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd be interested in what you come up with. I've taken mine into the 20s F w/the Z-liner and an inflatable pad. I was super warm (w/ HG burrow 20) and felt I could have gone maybe to the single digits F. But no way the Z-liner works at -30 C. I've never tried my down under quilt w/the Clark, mainly because I have the Z-liner velcroed on.

I unfortunately never had much luck attaching an underquilt to my NX-250. But if you find out a good method, I'd say the safe bet for going that far down in temperature, would be to get a z-liner which attach with velcro and then hang a down UQ outside that.

Byhaving both, you'll also be able to better alter your insulations for various degrees forthcoming as well.

An Update; Just received JRB Mt Washington 4 with 2 oz overstuff. I plan to test it out in the next couple weeks. The lows should be around -10 Celcius.
I was told by Clark that the best option is either HG or JRB. It seemed latter had the best option for NX 250. I also purchased the down sleeves.
I will provide follow up review once I complete testing.

Underquilt arrived yesterday and I tried it last night and it worked well. Temp only went down to 5 degree Celcius but it did the job. I really want to try when it dips to below -10 degrees. Quality is great and attachments are first rate.
I'm really impressed with the down sleeves. They are super warm and very versatile.

I will be trying out again on the weekend when the weather dips below zero.
I will follow up with results.

Don't forget to take lots of pictures. Not just of the scenery and fancy wildlife around you, but of the setup and how you attach your quilt to the hammock.

These NX-hammocks differs a lot from "normal" gathered end ones, and it's always nice to see how people manage to keep warm. I've had mine for 4 years and still haven't managed to successfully attach an underquilt consistently

Here's my set up. I attached Velcros to the underquilt and it seems to align well with Clark.
This week the temp is going down to -10 fahrenheit. I can't wait and will provide feedback.

apologize for the orientation of the pics. I can't seem to fix it.
