    ZING IT Whoopie Sling Results?

And to honor another old friend...
    SGT Rock
SGT Rock was US Army infantry, I think he had retired from military. As an infantry man, he had to go on long marches with packs weighing fifty to seventy pounds.

In civilian afterlife, he still loved camping and backpacking with ultralight gear. No more heavy packs, more like five pound packs for a quick overnight!
He made numerous YouTube videos, no longer available, that showed his ultralight DIY hammocks and suspensions.
I would watch his latest videos, just to see what new ideas he would implement as he would ease himself into the lightest hammocks and lightest suspensions. Many times just inches from the ground (in case the suspension snapped)

SGT Rock had a saying (old timers help Phantom out here, I don’t remember his exact words, help me other old Forum members)
    Did he say?

    “I’m gonna die”
    or
    “You gonna die”

It was a great saying, helped in part by his delivery and the fact that he had just laid in his hammock, essentially suspended with kite string!

Old timers, help me get his immortal saying exactly right. Thanks

@Phantom I found where he wrote it on here once as “Yer gonna die”.
I wish I could see some of his old videos. I found his thread on a 1 lb system… he could really push the limit. I’m guessing you bring a pound of coffee

First time I saw someone hanging on 2.2mm Dynaglide I had that thought.

I made some zing-it woopie sling last yr and used them to hang. They held me at 160 lbs. Worked fine. After a few uses I inspected them and found damage where they attached to the hardware on the tree strap. If you go this route I recommend a marlin spike hitch for the attachment point.
Next up in my try outs was making woopie slings from braided Mason line. I am using those as the tie outs for the tarp. I like it very much. Larks head it to the tarp, place the loop over the tent stake and tighten it up. No knots no hardware and since it's only Mason line it will break before damaging the tarp if it gets tripped over etc.
