a month with a wide 70" hammock WOW I am sold on the wider hammocks

picked up my first wide a bit ago a BIAS camper XL

I have quite a few hammocks and I sleep in them full time

picked up this for camping but tried it out as home as I always do and WOW I am sold on the wide hammocks love em going to have to get a dual layer now and try a 12 footer for fun never had a knotty mod so might try that also

the extra width to me is amazing its there when I want and does not bug me when I am not using it
I dont think I use it to sleep extra angled ? I might but cant really tell or maybe I am so used to sleeping in a certain angle hahahahaha
but I can easily put my arms above my head and or my leg out and its supported by the extra fabric

truly amazed at how much for me the extra width gives me in comfort totally sold !!!

I really like a wider hammock myself. With a 58 inch hammock, my legs always want to slide off and my shoulder doesn't have enough room.

    Yep, same here, love it.

And now I'm backing down to lighter fabrics for my single layer just to work that comfort factor a little. Have used 2.6oz/sqyd then 2.20z and now 1.6oz/sq yd wide fabric.

I have a 12' , 72" wide Hyper D XL that Dutch made for me, it is the most comfortable hammock I own. You for sure want the knotty mod. Any future hammock for me will be one of the wider ones. I may try an 11' Hex70 XL in the near future. They should measure around 66" finished width, and may make other accessories easier to fit.

I made a single layer 11', 2.2 hex 70 XL from RSBTR and I really like everything about it especially the extra width. My feet almost try to slide off of a 58" wide hammock at times.

I have a DIY 13.5' long 69" wide 1.6 oz HyperD XL that I made a couple of weeks ago. It is very comfortable and roomy. I have all sorts of legroom. At 6' 4" tall a 58" hammock sometimes feels too narrow. I will probably have to cut in down in length later to about 12 because it is hard to find a spot to hang it.
