    Silly Half-Wit Question

How do you protect your legs in the half-wit? I am very intrigued by the product's weight, but unless I'm missing something, it seems it's good only for those times warm enough to have mosquitoes, but also cool enough that I want to sleep with a quilt or long pants on....which, in fairness, may be a good chunk of the year in some places.

I guess I'm just hoping I'm missing something and there's a simple way to use it effectively in Georgia summers. If not, I guess it's stick to the Fronkey until something lighter comes out that still offers full coverage.

You are in a top quilt or sleeping bag so that protects you.

Same here in No. VA. I need full net coverage in the summer months. Skeeters will eat me alive down by the Potomac River.

Full net is the way to go for me. If I'm using a net, mosquitoes are out. If mosquitoes are out, it's warm (or even hot). If it's warm out, I will usually need to vent at some point.
    Hang the good hang.

My friend, I want to hammock where you hammock, but if you come to visit me here any time between late spring and early autumn, please don't rely on that for a comfortable experience.

Here it is not unusual for summer nights to be well above 80F, with 90% or better humidity, and with swarms of mosquitoes and other biting/stinging insects. You will want to be wearing the bare minimum for whatever decency may demand and have no quilt of any sort.

I love the concept of the product, and was just hoping I could find a way to make it work for me here, but it looks like the wrong tool for the job for where I live. Drat!

If you aren't using a top quilt and the skeeters are out it is not the right hammock.

Thanks Dutch! Oh well, Fronkey it is until you do a SL Hexon with full (detatchable?) bug net.
